Doodling on the Beach

I took my new Micron Pens to the beach with me this saturday and doodled a bit while J was surfing. I was really surprised at how detailed I was able to get the line work on textured watercolour paper.

Corner Deli

I am a big fan of all things edible and drinkable, which by defualt makes me a huge fan of food and drink related designs. I found this identity package designed by A-side Studio and instantaneously fell in love with the look. I think the use of words as images is truly delcious!

Power to Play: From Trash to Treasure

Just found out the new exhibit I designed at The Museum of Tolerance is being featured in NBC 4s Sunday LA and Daily Candy! I am ecstatic to say the least. Stay tuned for timing etc...

Klaus Haapaniemi

I came across Klaus Haapaniemi's illustrations on my friend Jami's blog. His pieces are extremely intricate yet still maintain a simplistic elegance. His plates remind me of the vintage china my parents purchased while we were in Sweden.

Jars & Jam

Found this great how-to on Design*Sponge, anyone want to have crafts night with me?

One Love

My love for facial hair seems to have moved north from the upperlip and landed smack dab above the eyelids. I might just get a unibrow tattooed in. Here are some photo booth pics from our friday night Halloween pre-party.

Also found this great postcard at Dear John's in Culver City of their live band.
Dean and Richard you blow my mind.

Collage Art Inspiration

Currently working on an illustrated CD sticker for my friend RICCO. I want the illustration to look collaged and pieced together but still maintain the hues and softness of my watercolour pencil drawings. Here is some inspiration I've found so far...

Gossip at the Fonda

I went to see Gossip on monday night at the Fonda theater. Everyone in the theater, balcony included was singing along to their songs and shaking their hips. If you get a chance to go see them I highly recommend their show Beth Ditto especially has an amazing stage presence while the rest of the band is really serious about their instruments.

Jen Collin aka hellojenuine

Beautiful illustration of the artist's outfit of the day. Love the loose line work and use of watercolours. She also does a great series called itunes a-z.

Finally it's up
